Bought this for my son's walk to school and it's held up through some properly cold mornings. The rib edge keeps it snug without leaving red marks on his forehead, and it's thin enough that his hood still fits over it.
The merino wool is so soft my daughter doesn't fuss when I pull it over her ears, which honestly never happened with her old acrylic one. It's thin enough to fit under her jacket hood but she still came home warm after an hour of sledding.
