The bumper is much softer than I expected, and my daughter actually sleeps through the night now without bumping her head on the rail. Tying it on with the strings was a bit fiddly with one hand, but it hasn't come loose once in three weeks.
Took me less than two minutes to tie this onto the cot rail, and the strings actually stay knotted instead of slipping loose overnight. The padding is thick enough that my little one no longer bonks her head on the wooden edge when she rolls around.
The cherry color is exactly what I wanted and the 36 length lines the whole rail perfectly. It's soft enough that my daughter actually stopped bumping her head on the edges at night. The strings hold tight, though I do double knot them just to be safe.
