The merino wool is genuinely soft, no itch at all, and it fits snugly under my daughter's jacket hood without bunching up. Wore it on a windy walk and her cheeks stayed warm the whole time.
My toddler usually rips hats off within seconds, but this one stays put because it hugs the head and neck so snugly. The merino is thin enough to layer under her jacket hood without any bulk, and she never once complained about itchiness on our cold morning walks.
